Venus conjunct Saturn, Mars conjunct Pluto

Hello again. I'm back. It's the first day of the last month of the year & I want to make it count, even if I've been busy meeting new people & recovering from fatigue + stress since my last post. It's also my Venus return again, & this has yet to be the best one yet. I fell in love once more & I've never felt more alive deep down, despite feeling quite dead before & during my period. Now that my time of the month is over, I'm still having trouble bouncing back, & I keep forgetting I have sleeping pills at my disposal, but I'm glad I've been able to bond with my brother again after a long month of hardly nothing, except for some fleeting TV moments, while watching my favorite Adventure Time series & this special on Hitler on NatGeo.

I'm also getting a new Tarot deck that has been haunting me for 2 years now, also around the time of my Venus return. I'm actually very happy that I'm getting it from a loving, wise source, considering how dark the deck is, to begin with, especially when I encountered it for the first time, but it gave me such an insightful reading about myself & my future as a New Age grrl. I was supposed to have it earlier last month, but with Mercury going bonkers, I waited patiently for things to simmer down. I'm excited to get a hold of it this month. I'll let you all know what it is. My very first card from it was the 8 of Wands, & it felt wonderful seeing how that depiction was, describing my growth. I also got the Queen of Wands, who looked more like a flower child/hippie singing folk songs probably. You all know I listen to much heavier stuff at the end of the day. & then I got the 5 of Cups, reversed. My life has never been the same ever since. Then after another encounter with the same deck, this time from a different owner, I knew it was meant to be mine, too. I was described as a gorgeous Hierophant who looks more like the High Priestess, & can I just say that the Empress card looks exactly like my inner Venus (in Scorpio), only tamer & more foreboding?

Ever since the last Full Moon in Gemini, which felt more like a dark moon than anything, I've been keeping close to home, more to myself. I miss my new party friends, whom I can just hang out with openly, without being bombarded by astrology, Tarot, or dream interpretation questions, enjoying music & drinks & good food. But I'll be back. & I know I have to see my regular clients before Christmas. I'll try to schedule things for next week. The last Mercury retrograde was actually bad. I had to call off all my appointments & now for the life of me, I can't remember where I actually placed my fucking house keys. & my room's still a glorious mess. & my hair needs urgent TLC. But I'm fine. & I'm still mothering a happy smart female puppy. I have groceries to pick up in a bit, now that I'm temporarily the matriarch of my household. Ugh. I miss the beach sooo bad. But I need to take care of my home just a bit longer, so please bear with me.

Speaking of home, I'm being forced to look after my body all the more now, too. I scored a lot of pretty thingamajigs when Venus was in my sign Libra, but now that Venus is in Scorpio, I'm now on a desperate pricey move to make sure my skin clears (must end this whole blotched-face drama!) & my hair recovers. I'm exploring this whole big mall much closer to home & I daresay I'm enjoying a lot of great finds there, & I'm quite happy. I've even had my toenails repainted red, the only color (aside from black) that looks good on me & makes my feet look clean. People associate red negatively with something else, but I won't care anymore. Deal with it. It feels great to fall in love with myself & with Life all over again. October has been horrible, even early last month, when things were shaken here, no thanks to Saturn in Scorpio, but the last Venus-Saturn conjunct did prove to be magical (& sexy!) for me. I hope by the time my Venus return ends, I'll be really more of who & what I am supposed to be. I just want to lose all the weight I've gained in the last couple of years, but I'll just wait until tomorrow to get started all over again. I want more energy.

I hope all is well with you. If you have any questions about my future Tarot reading schedules within the Makati CBD, please email me at sp.lovecraft[at]gmail[dot]com anyway, so we can have things sorted out. I'd love to hear from you!

order quick readings via email! (2011 edition)

Thank you to the first few lucky people who've ordered my special Tarot email readings! I made your readings pretty extensive (worth $35), & I hope I made sense, hehe. Remember, you get $5 bucks off a 2- or 3-question order. & it's best if you frame your questions so you get more clarity that way. But if you don't really have anything in mind, & would just like to see what the future holds for you, that works, too. (Remember, in the end, only YOU can make decisions for yourself! YOU create your OWN future!) Kindly let me know upon placing your orders via PayPal. This is a limited offer (only until the end of this month) so grab it while it lasts. :D

Email readings are just as good as face-to-face readings, & they are very detailed & personalized. No, I don't go pasting generic meanings of the cards I've drawn. I relay them exactly to your situation, & say things as you need to read/hear/know them. They're also convenient if you want concise answers, & when you're on the go. If you've read my first FAQ listing, you'll get further ideas on what to expect when availing such a service from me. Satisfaction guaranteed, no matter how cliché that sounds, hehe.

I usually respond right away, shortly after the receipt of your questions, so don't worry. If you still want to meet me for a face-to-face reading, especially after a quick reading, please email me so we can schedule one ASAP.

So far, my next available reading schedule in person would be:

Friday (October 21st) 3pm-5pm4pm
Tuesday (October 25th) 2pm-5pm
Thursday (October 27th) 3pm-8pm
Monday (October 31st) 2pm-8pm (tentative)

& again, for more information on how I do my readings, please read my FAQs. Take your time doing so, & get your questions ready. It will help you relax (a major requirement before getting your cards read) & focus on what you really need to know + do. & I've learned the hard way that I won't ever need to coax an inquiring querent for a session — it's either you're truly up for it, or not. I only inform my contact list of my schedules every now & then so I'd be able to streamline my tasks. Please note that what I do isn't mere fortune-telling; it's more often than not a cathartic 2-way street, with a little creative brainstorming (especially for business or career decisions) thrown into the mix. If you haven't tried this before, but you're raring to go, do yourself a favor, then — I'll be more than happy to assist you! :D

Anyway, have fun, & leave a comment here for instant feedback! ♥

(P.S. I'll be providing a few more surprises for my blog followers, so stay tuned!
The comments section is the place to be, where the next virtual Tarot party's at!)

love = sick

I'm sorry for being gone again for so long, but I've already updated my calendar for October so people can schedule face-to-face readings with me more easily. I'm so tired. Forgive me. I really haven't recovered yet from last month's craziness, & I'm truly sorry for my last post. But I mean well. I always do. I just want everybody else to be responsible for their own feelings & lives, the same way I'm desperately trying to take care of myself. To my ardent patrons, you know me, I go the extra mile whenever I can for you fine folks. But the curse of being too accommodating is just too much to bear sometimes. & I really care about you. Tough love, baby. & please don't wait for me to tell you that straight to your face.

Though it truly made my week when a prospective Leo client texted me about how he loves my blog for being witty & upfront. Honesty, he says, is "a trait that is slowly dying in this digital age." & thank heavens despite my profanity he doesn't see it as crass, hehe. Thank you, Y. (& I'm so sorry, but your strong Venus in Cancer is what I've been picking up for all this time! :P)

I want everybody I come in close contact with to be happy. Now please remember that happiness is a state of mind, & it's always fleeting. The only way to really make the most out of a happy moment is truly revel in it while it lasts. Well, taking pictures & videos can help. But memories are the best things to come out from it. Cherish those, & always count your blessings. Things can — & will — be anticlimactic more often than not, but that shouldn't put a stop to you feeling happy every single blasted chance you'd get.

In our pursuit of happiness, though, we tend to lose ourselves in the process. The more we feel it's elusive, the more stressful it can be for us to handle things. Take my own struggles with gardening & adjusting to new health + fitness schedules, for instance. Then there were these premier events I had to go to, to show my support to some of my most awesome clients, & I still need to recover from the hubbub. My auld lang syne friends are MIA when I need the most, & I feel more alone than ever. Worse, my lovelife (say what? LOL) is going nowhere fast. But whatever. I'll just share this article that brightened up my day:
"Here are three tools I use on a daily basis to keep getting to know myself amidst (& sometimes because of) my challenges:"

1. Do one small thing to make today better than yesterday.

Allow yourself to settle into the idea of small little shifts that add up to a more peaceful, centered you. Say a prayer for someone you know who is hurting. Put yourself to bed early. Pack yourself a healthy lunch.

[It's always amazing] at how one little thing can have such a drastic impact on our mood. You reclaim a piece of your day, even if it's just a small one.

2. Begin to embrace your own brand of happy. Don’t ask it to look exactly like "everyone else’s."

Be open to the hobbies, places, & people who make you jazzed about your future, regardless of what others may think about them. You were given specific skills in order to shine. Cultivate them in small & big ways.

If your current friends aren’t interested in your new passions, ask the Universe to guide you to others who might be.

3. You’re holding the remote; go ahead and press the pause button when needed.

Make an effort to turn inward & reset your frequency if you feel like things are getting funky. Whether you take a two-minute walk outside, meditate before you go to bed at night, or simply pause in the doorway before you zoom into “go, go, go” mode, you create a split-second opportunity to be present & show up for a day full of possibility and miracles.

I'm still counting my blessings, & I'm just praying this maddening lull will ease out soon. If you're feeling like the Universe is grating you like a citrus fruit for your zest, leave a comment & let's talk about it, haha.

Anyway, since it's my 6th blogging anniversary this weekend (technically, October 13th), I'll be throwing in a few surprises on my Facebook page (please Like the damn thing, haha) & you can try my quick readings that I'll be offering only until the end of my Venus return next month:

Yes! Get US$5 off if you ask me 2 or 3 questions via email! Please give me until Monday (just in case) if you're availing of this today to fully respond to your questions, just so I can get my personal stuff that I've planned beforehand out of the way. I usually respond right away, shortly after the receipt of your questions, so don't worry. If you still want to meet me for a face-to-face reading, well, you know the drill. ;)
Text me beforehand should you want to be scheduled for Friday, October 21st, 3pm-5pm: (+63) 0920-433-5420. Please note that I might be in the middle of a reading session so if you call, I might not be able to pick up immediately. Text me FIRST before calling. I'm adamantly sticking to my schedules but I want to accommodate everyone as much as I can this month. Meaning, I'd rather read on these particular days at MY preferred places so, please, I beg of you. (House calls will have extra charge, up to double my standard rate, depending on location & weather conditions. For now, I can only accommodate requests within the Makati CBD. For more information how I do my readings, please read the updated 2nd FAQ.)

& it's that time of the year again

There's something about birthdays that I both dread & long for. Mine's coming up in 10 days. I've resolved that this year would be more exciting, despite the whole laidback vibe with my Cancerian best friend Zhy (Aquarius moon, Aries rising) & my Virgo brother whom I still call Sonny (so much for our childhood nicknames at home) even if he's more commonly known as Lem or Rey among his friends (Virgo moon, Pisces rising). I'm making it a point to spend it with only the most reliable people in my life, along with a few choice acquaintances (that is, if they do decide to show up at the last minute). But yeah, I'd rather spend that day with the people who've really never let me down throughout the years, despite their unpredictable, independent selves.

& I really want my dad's rundown garden revived by then. I've started a couple of weeks ago by buying orchids (the main attraction in my dad's collection a decade or so ago) & having our trusty memorial park stead caretaker Larry (who's coincidentally Libra, too, woohoo!) prepare the space for bluegrass & all these empty flowerpots waiting to be refilled. I kinda want a Japanese-style garden despite the already existing trees in our yard, but even if I'm itching to have it landscaped right away, I'm challenging my dormant creative self to work a few tricks on the space, especially with the fact that I still need to save up for that & we actually have very little room for my rather grandiose Zen ideas. Now that Venus is in my sign, I guess it's perfect timing to have this project taken care of completely. I'll make sure that by the end of my actual Venus return in Scorpio (by December), everything will be in place. ♥ I want a cozy nook each for worship & for entertaining, a small herb garden at the back, & flowers to brighten up the chi at home. I can't wait to get a Japanese stone lantern, wishing well, & maybe even a small birdhouse set up! & the New Moon in my sign soon is what I feel the most auspicious time to have it all taken care of. I really hope I can take care of things. Our old housekeeper who's snarky as hell but who also did a major contribution to keeping the garden promising is still a hindrance to my plans, since her lack of aesthetics is sooo irking the shit out of me on a daily basis, but I'm hoping for a break from all this. Thanks to feng shui I've realized where our growing problems are coming from, & they'll have to end this month. Next Monday & Wednesday are going to be crazy days, but I'm taking a break from it all on my birthday week, so if you folks want a personal reading at the last week of September, you might all have to wait until October 1st. (I can manage to read remotely by then, though, just please let me know in advance.) My schedule listing's updated at the sidebar now, so just please check that from time to time. :)

Now if it weren't for Zhy helping me rearrange my bedroom & giving me ideas how to redecorate a few weeks ago, I really wouldn't have had anything done. I've been so tired & busy & tired all over again (it's a most vicious cycle, I tell you) that I hardly have time for myself at home anymore. But now I feel so much better, & I can't thank her enough. & from now on I'll be more aware & organized, & again, it's the perfect time to do so, since Venus is in my sign & my Solar return's fast approaching. Plus, I might as well take good advantage of things while it's my Mercury return. YAY. I'm done with Mercury retrograding. It's been wobbly these past few years, so I really have high hopes for this month now. I'll be my old bitchy OC self, sure, but as long as it gets the job done en pronto, I'm happy. & this officially seals the deal: I'm growing old, but yay, I'm finally I'm old enough to really pull this shit off. The Maturity card (cf. Ace of Pentacles) + Ripeness (9 of Pentacles) from my Osho Zen deck lovingly affirms that fact. Lessee if my reviewing The Secret helps! :P

Of course I had to consult my own deck if this whole gardening frenzy's recommended & timely, despite Jupiter currently on retrograde. I got Past Lives (cf. The Moon), Trust (cf. Knight of Chalices), & Breakthrough (cf. Strength + Justice), via my Osho Zen deck. I'm sooo on the right track, then! Time to let go & live in the now, while still honoring the past. Thank you so much, Universe! & there's that huge Lunar influence right there.

I really have so much to thank the heavens for. The Universe does answer our prayers, even if it takes quite a while. But patience is indeed a virtue, as cliché as that may sound, & I hope you also find the time to be utterly grateful for all the goodness you still have in your life. Nobody's perfect, & we're all still yearning for so much more everytime, but that shouldn't stop us from being hopeful & open to all wondrous possibilities just the same.
